**Ukraine Under Attack: One Killed, 40 Injured in Russian Strikes**
Russia’s military campaign against Ukraine continues to escalate, with devastating consequences for civilians. At least one person has been killed and 40 others injured across the country as Russian forces carried out attacks on multiple regions.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched a total of 450 aerial threats overnight, including 426 Shahed-type drones and various types of missiles. Air defenses successfully downed or disrupted 224 targets, including 200 Shahed-type drones. Additionally, 203 drone decoys failed to reach their intended targets.
**Kyiv Hit Hard**
In the capital city of Kyiv, one person was killed and seven others injured, including a child, after a massive overnight attack on the city. Strikes hit six districts, causing widespread destruction and chaos.
**Regional Updates**
Other regions also suffered significant damage and casualties. In Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, four people were injured, with fires breaking out in houses and garages. In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, two people were injured during strikes on Nikopol, Pokrovska, and Marhanetska communities.
In Kharkiv Oblast, seven people were injured following attacks on Kharkiv and ten other locations. The region was hit with drones, missiles, and glide bombs, causing damage to residential buildings, transport infrastructure, and energy facilities.
**Widespread Destruction**
Reports from across Ukraine indicate widespread destruction and disruption of daily life. In Kherson Oblast, two civilians were injured in attacks on more than 40 settlements. In Donetsk Oblast, ten people were injured across Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk, and Bakhmut districts.
In Sumy Oblast, four civilians, including a child, were wounded by drone strikes in Sumy. Russian forces launched 90 attacks on 38 settlements, damaging houses, cars, and civilian infrastructure.
**A Growing Toll**
The number of casualties and damage to infrastructure is mounting. As the conflict continues, Ukraine’s resilience will be put to the test. The international community must remain vigilant and take steps to support those affected by this devastating war.
