In Tbilisi, a wife killed her husband with a cold weapon. The incident occurred yesterday. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained one person in connection with the case.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the detained individual inflicted injuries on her spouse during an argument, resulting in the victim’s death.
“Employees of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational measures and investigative actions conducted on the spot, detained T.G., born in 2000, on charges of the premeditated murder of a family member.
The investigation established that on August 22 of this year, in Tbilisi, in a residential apartment, the accused, during an argument, inflicted a fatal wound with a cold weapon on her spouse, L.G., born in 2003.
As a result of investigative actions, law enforcement detained the accused on the spot and seized the weapon used in the crime – a knife – as evidence.
The investigation is being conducted under Article 109, subparagraph ‘k’ of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the premeditated murder of a family member under aggravating circumstances. The crime carries a penalty of up to 20 years or life imprisonment,” the statement reads.
