New Vice Speaker Elected to Parliament
A new Vice Speaker has been chosen for the Georgian Parliament. Ilia Injia was elected by 84 out of 120 deputies.
Injiashvili’s Party Nominated Him
The European Socialists party nominated Injiashvili for the job. This position is usually given to a member from the opposition group in the parliament.
Other Vice Speakers
The current parliament has several Vice Speakers. They are Gia Volski, Nino Tsilosani, Tea Tsulukiani, and Giorgi Kakhiani. These four were elected with the most votes. Sozar Subari and Ilia Injia represent the opposition group in the leadership.
