**Georgia’s Leader Sends Message of Sorrow to Syria**
The leader of the Georgian Orthodox Church, Ilia II, has written a letter to the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, John X. In the letter, he expresses deep sadness over recent tragic events in Syria.
Ilia II says that these events have shocked people all around the world. He also joins many others in condemning them and hopes that such evil will not happen again.
The Georgian Patriarch is asking John X to pass on his support to the people of Syria who are suffering. This includes families who have lost loved ones, as well as women and children who have been hurt or affected by the violence.
Ilia II ends his letter by saying that he and many others will pray for peace in Syria and around the world.
