**Iceland Helps Ukraine’s Energy Sector**
The government of Iceland has given over 2 million euros to help Ukraine with its energy needs. This is a big deal, as it brings the total amount that Iceland has contributed to more than 5.6 million euros.
**Where Will The Money Go?**
This money will be used to buy equipment for energy companies in three regions: Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson. These areas have been affected by Russian attacks, which damaged their energy infrastructure.

Ukraine’s Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko is very grateful for Iceland’s help. He says that contributions like this are crucial for getting light and heat back to Ukrainian homes and restoring the country’s energy infrastructure.
**Long-Term Support From Iceland**
The Icelandic parliament has adopted a resolution to support Ukraine in the long term, from 2024 to 2028. This will help with things like humanitarian aid, reconstruction work, and keeping Ukraine safe and independent.
