Helsinki Commission: if proven, state dept. Should publicly confirm election fraud

The US Helsinki Commission, in response to yesterday’s remarks by President Salome Zurabishvili regarding the elections, has advised the State Department that if fraud is proven, it should be publicly acknowledged.
Zurabishvili declared that the election results were ‘totally fabricated’ and renounced them, declaring that accepting the results was an endorsement of Russia entering Georgia. She also claimed that Russian troops had conducted hybrid warfare operations in Georgia.
The Helsinki Commission noted credible reports of voter intimidation, harassment, and violations. It stressed that the State Department should confirm fraud. Fraud should be confirmed.
