Battles Rage On in Kursk Region
Heavy fighting is taking place in the Kursk region of Ukraine. The Ukrainian military’s defense has gotten stronger since they withdrew from the town of Sudzha. This was reported by Yuriy Butusov, editor-in-chief of Censor.NET.
According to Butusov, the enemy is still trying to break through the Ukrainian lines near the settlements of Oleshnya and Guyevo in the Kursk region. However, the Ukrainians are holding their ground and have established a defensive line along the highest points on Russian territory.
Ukrainian forces are well-positioned to defend themselves against the enemy’s attacks. Butusov emphasized that the defense has strengthened significantly after the withdrawal from Sudzha, shortening the front line and allowing Ukrainian firepower and drones to operate effectively again.
The Russian command is pushing its soldiers to take control of Ukraine’s sanitary zone in the Kursk region within the next ten days of March. This means that attacks are likely to intensify, and the Russians are regrouping to launch an offensive along the entire front in the Kursk region.
Butusov also reported that Russian forces have not made any deep incursions into Ukrainian territory at this time. However, there were some small groups of infantry that advanced up to three kilometers into Ukraine near the village of Basivka in the Sumy region. These advances have been halted, and precise strikes have been carried out against them.
The Ukrainian command is taking an active role in defending themselves. They are supplied with ammunition, and coordination and management of UAV units are improving. Every effort is being made to hold the critical operational line at the border.
