This “smart” politician, Gakharia, took a year to realize Parliament was legitimate, and if he continues like this, he might become an average politician by the age of 80 – Gakharia fell for the game and slipped, meaning he lost the absolute majority of his voters, said Guram Macharashvili, a deputy from the “People’s Power” party, in a statement to journalists.
According to him, by entering Parliament now, Giorgi Gakharia has practically sought political asylum.
“Gakharia presented himself as clever, but his voters turned out to be much smarter and forced his party to enter Parliament, which means that after the 2024 elections, Gakharia’s party received catastrophically low results in the local self-government elections. Practically, it took this ‘smart’ politician, Gakharia, a year to realize Parliament was legitimate, and if he continues like this, he might become an average politician by the age of 80.
We said earlier that it was completely baseless for not only Gakharia but any party to refuse to enter Parliament on the grounds that it was allegedly illegitimate. Everyone clearly saw that there was no rigging, and Parliament was legitimate, but in this case, they started a game. Gakharia fell for this game, wanted to play even more, and slipped. Slipping means he lost the absolute majority of his voters. Realizing this loss, he understood that he would be a victim of bullying from all sides and practically sought political asylum by now entering Parliament,” Macharashvili stated.
