The study published by CRRC shows, alongside the Dream’s paranoid double standards, the healthy national and pro-European opinion of the real Georgian people. Support for European integration remains very high despite the propaganda of the Russian regime, said Grigol Gegelia, one of the leaders of Lelo – Strong Georgia.
He spoke about a telephone survey of the Georgian population to study public attitudes towards the European Union and visa liberalization, which CRRC-Georgia conducted on behalf of the Civil Society Foundation and with financial support from the European Union.
According to Gegelia, more than half of the respondents blame the Georgian Dream regime for the possible loss of the visa-free regime.
“The so-called government, which has adopted Russian law, imprisoned political opponents, prosecuted the non-governmental sector, attacked the prospects of European integration, accused the European Union of conspiracy theories, attacked leading politicians and heads of state of various states, while at the same time saying: “It is firmly committed to European integration.”
The government, whose “titushky” attack representatives of the free media in broad daylight, in the streets, this so-called government says that it protects journalists. The government, which is involved in corruption, says that it is at the forefront in the fight against corruption.
The study published by CRRC once again shows the healthy national and pro-European opinion of the real Georgian people, alongside the Dream’s paranoid double standards. Support for European integration, despite the propaganda of the Russian regime, remains very high, at 78%. We also see that the majority believes that the loss of the visa-free regime will be very harmful to the state. Also, more than half of the respondents blame the Georgian Dream regime for the possible loss of the visa-free regime.
This is an important statement from the Georgian people. The people see very well what chances we are given now, how, against the background of historical realities, the criminal gang formation Georgian Dream, which has seized power, is making us lose it.
Georgian Dream is hanging on several hundred “Robocops” and has decided to deprive millions of Georgians of the European perspective, the chance of visa-free travel, economic and social opportunities.
Especially striking: this statistic is for the capital. This once again reminds us that 70% of the city is in opposition, these people will come out and finish off the Russian mayor in this city, just as the Georgian people will come out and finish off the anti-Georgian regime of the “Russian Dream”.
Our fight continues, this is a principled and important fight that must end with the return of all critical letters where the Georgian Dream is exceptionally weak and must end for the Georgian people and the European path of the Georgian state,” Gegelia noted.
The telephone survey of the Georgian population was conducted by CRRC-Georgia, commissioned by the Civil Society Foundation and with the financial support of the European Union, to study public attitudes towards the European Union and visa liberalization. According to the survey, the majority of the Georgian population (78%) believes that suspending visa-free travel to the EU will be detrimental to Georgian citizens. In addition, the survey notes that if the EU does indeed suspend visa-free travel for Georgian citizens, slightly more than half of the respondents (51%) will hold the Georgian Dream and its leader, Bidzina Ivanishvili, responsible. According to the survey, support for EU membership remains high among the Georgian population. 78% of respondents support EU membership.
The survey was conducted on August 8-12, 2025 using the Computer-Assisted Telephone Interview (CATI) method. A total of 1,333 respondents were interviewed based on a randomly generated selection of phone numbers. The results are representative of the Georgian-speaking adult population of Georgia. The average margin of error for the survey is 1.56%.
