We believe that our call, and that of the Rustaveli Avenue movement, will be heard, and on October 4, Georgian society will gather not at the points of the Russian special operation called elections, but on the streets of our cities – we will organize a peaceful revolution! – Giorgi Baramidze, the political secretary of the National Movement, told journalists.
According to Baramidze, a “peaceful revolution” is a right enshrined in the Constitution.
“One more issue. October 4 is coming. We believe that our call, and not only of the National Movement, but first of all, under the leadership of Paata Burchuladze, the Rustaveli Avenue movement, will be heard. The call that on October 4, Georgian society will gather not at the points of the Russian special operation called elections, but that we will all take to the streets of our cities. We will come out, first of all, on Rustaveli Avenue and all together we will say – “No” to this gang of traitors and criminals. Yes, we will peacefully overthrow this regime, we will organize a peaceful revolution. A peaceful revolution – this is a right enshrined in the Constitution,” said Giorgi Baramidze.
He also responded to the arrest of one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, Elene Khoshtaria, and expressed solidarity with her.
“I would like to respond to the arrest of Elene Khoshtaria by a Russian gang of traitors and criminals. She was arrested on the grounds that she damaged the banner of Kaladze, a participant in the Russian special operation. This regime has not lifted a finger, it has not moved a finger, when for years, the offices of the National Movement have been ransacked, including by shooting. Our office has been attacked several times with very serious damage and even endangering people’s health and lives. This gang of traitors and criminals has not arrested any of the perpetrators. We want to express solidarity with Elene Khoshtaria, who in turn expressed solidarity with the young girl [Megi Diasamidze]. She attributed a very correct thing to Kakha Kaladze’s special operation banner, that the Dream, which calls itself Georgian, is actually the “Russian dream” and the dream of the Russians. They are doing the work of the Russians,” said Giorgi Baramidze.
Giorgi Baramidze: We will organize a peaceful revolution on October 4!
