The Georgian society has once again witnessed the true face of this Russian band of traitors and criminals, according to Giorgi Baramidze, the political secretary of the United National Movement, commenting on the confrontation that occurred yesterday near the election headquarters of Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze on Melikishvili Avenue.
As Baramidze stated, this incident is yet another confirmation that the Georgian society must, as quickly and peacefully as possible, remove “Georgian Dream” from power.
“I want to address the horrific, criminal incident that took place yesterday on Melikishvili Avenue near the headquarters of Kaladze’s Russian special operation, which is known for its love of thieves. The Georgian society has once again seen the true face of this Russian band of traitors and criminals, something the society already knew well. For years, since the horrific crackdown in Kortsheli, we have been dealing not only with traitors to the homeland but with a band of criminal mentality. This is further evidence that the Georgian society must unite as one fist to remove this great threat to our society and our country from power and governmental levers as quickly and peacefully as possible. Every day and week that this band remains in power pushes Georgia toward the abyss of international isolation and transformation into a Russian-controlled ‘quasi’ state. On the other hand, internally, Georgia is being emptied of Georgians,” Baramidze stated.
He called on the Georgian society to actively participate in the fight against “Georgian Dream.”
“This process cannot succeed if left to political parties, non-governmental organizations, or individual groups alone. During this regime’s rule, parties and non-governmental organizations have all been weakened. It is surprising that they even still exist. Therefore, society must find the inner strength to mobilize. Society does not need violence; it needs to unite as one fist and say a clear ‘no’ to this Russian band of traitors and criminals,” Baramidze declared.
As a reminder, there was noise and a confrontation on Melikishvili Avenue near Kakha Kaladze’s election headquarters. According to the rally participants, they were physically assaulted by representatives of the youth wing of “Georgian Dream.” During the physical confrontation, more than 10 rally participants were injured, including media representatives.
