“The document of the so-called betrayal commission, which accuses Georgia and justifies Russia, is yet another confirmation that the regime is in Putin’s service,” said Giorgi Baramidze, the political secretary of the “National Movement,” regarding the temporary investigative commission of the Parliament.
As Baramidze noted, the Georgian people, through their unity and peaceful protest, will oust the regime and return Georgia to the path of European development.
“Yesterday, Georgian society saw the document of the so-called betrayal commission issued by the Parliament, which probably exceeded the expectations of any sensible, patriotic person. We know that the task of this betrayal commission is to justify Georgia’s enemy, the aggressor Russia, and to condemn Georgia, rewriting the decisions of the Hague and Strasbourg courts in Putin’s favor, condemning the Georgian government, the President, the supreme commander-in-chief, the government, and our state.
The commission’s goal is to wash Putin’s hands and give him free rein to act against Georgia. This is important for Putin, as the force in Georgia’s government claims that the war was not started by Putin’s ‘Rashist’ Russia but by Georgia. Naturally, this gives him the opportunity to act against Georgia on the diplomatic stage and accuse Georgia, which is a betrayal of Georgia’s national interests by this Russian band of traitors and criminals, who have been implementing Putin’s plan in Georgia for the thirteenth year,” Baramidze stated.
According to his assessment, “the betrayal commission has faithfully carried out Putin’s orders.”
“This conclusion of the betrayal commission is yet another confirmation of the treacherous policy this regime pursues. Its goal is to distance Georgia from the West and turn it into Russia’s backyard, which will never happen, and the Georgian people will never accept it. Therefore, I am deeply convinced that the protests will continue, and the Georgian people will gather in Tbilisi and various cities on September 13, September 27, and, of course, October 4, when the regime of traitors has planned another special operation to somehow increase their legitimacy, even slightly. Every patriot will be in the streets and will reject this regime of traitors. We will peacefully manage to consign this regime to the historical dustbin and hold them accountable for the crimes they have committed. Every representative of this regime must remember that they will have to return the millions and billions stolen from the pockets of Georgian citizens to the Georgian budget, with which we will be able to build new cities, villages, roads, schools, universities, and Georgia will once again embark on the path to EU and NATO membership. This will be the path to peacefully reunifying our homeland, bringing emigrants back to their homeland, and together we will build a European, democratic state that our nation, with its centuries-long, rich history, deserves,” Giorgi Baramidze stated.
