Our society should not be characterized by this form and level of personal confrontation, which is typical of the “Oleti” sect – women have their own role, especially little girls, who should offer such swearing during the process that encourages the boys standing in the front line, – this was stated by the First Vice-Speaker of Parliament, Gia Volski, in his comments to journalists regarding the events that unfolded near the election headquarters of Georgian Dream.
According to him, it is unfortunate that “unaware young people are involved in such processes.”
“It is unfortunate, but it is a fact, and against this fact, it is possible to unite forces – including ambassadors of European countries, who should say that they do not welcome this, no matter which side they criticize, but they must be fair. If we follow fairness, I think this attack is planned, the idea remains the same, and many young people participating in this are misled. There is a group that is planning this, carrying it out, and pursuing the goal we have spoken about many times. It is unfortunate that these unaware young people – girls or boys – are also involved. However, the participation of girls is especially important, since swearing about one’s mother from them is a particular strategic task and part of the scenario: to show that in Georgia, the situation has reached such a point that even little girls are cursing so bitterly and harshly. There are also other elements characteristic of this ‘Oleti’ sect.
Neither I nor Kakha [Kaladze] have seen women playing the role of boxers. Women have their own role. Women, especially little girls, should provide such swearing that encourages the boys standing in the front line – all this is a plan and a scenario,” – said Gia Volski.
Speaking further on the same topic, Volski noted that if anyone is violent, “it is the Oleti group and sect.”
“You call violent those people who are standing and being attacked. No matter what video you show me, it is not convincing. If you rush at a person like that, start cursing, call them a Russian, a traitor, a ‘KGB agent,’ and they respond, to you that is [violence]. I think that song belongs to you and all of them together, with all its meaning and ten times more. When you deliberately organize to provoke a person, to drive them out of composure, to incite a clash, to start cursing, there will be a response. Your goal is also to provoke me with these questions, to make me lose my composure, but you will not succeed. If anyone is violent – it is you, your team, the ‘Oleti’ group and sect, the organizers of terrorist actions – whether physical or moral-psychological, there is little difference. Nor do you refrain from physical violence, on the contrary, you call on young people to shed blood. You are terrorists in content and meaning, this is terrorism – you are carrying out psychological terror against people to achieve your goals,” – said Volski.
To remind you: On Melikishvili Avenue, near Kakha Kaladze’s election headquarters, there was noise and confrontation. According to the protesters, representatives of the Georgian Dream youth wing physically assaulted them. During the physical confrontation, more than 10 protesters were injured, including media representatives.
