**Georgia’s Trade Data for January 2025 Released**

The National Statistics Service of Georgia (Geostat) has published data on the country’s external trade for January 2025. The total value of trade was $2,006.3 million, a 39.2% increase from the same month last year.

**Exports and Imports Numbers**

Exports in January were up 19.3% to $403.8 million. Meanwhile, imports surged by 45.4% to $1,602.5 million. This significant rise in imports led to a wider trade deficit.

**Trade Deficit Widen**

The trade deficit increased to $1,198.7 billion, making up 59.7% of total trade turnover.
