Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine: Heavy Losses for the Russian Military
The Ukrainian military has announced that Russia has lost 900,800 troops since its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022. This information was shared by the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces on March 21.
In just one day, over 1,330 Russian soldiers were killed or wounded. The report also includes losses in equipment: Russia has lost a large number of tanks (10,394), armored vehicles (21,589), and artillery systems (24,848).
Other significant losses include multiple launch rocket systems (1,324), air defense systems (1,111), airplanes (370), helicopters (331), drones (30,080), ships and boats (28), and one submarine.
