**Russia Loses 853,000 Troops in Ukraine Since February 2022**
According to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Russia has lost over 853,000 troops since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. The number includes 1,150 casualties suffered by Russian forces just over the past day.
**Heavy Losses for Russia**
In addition to the thousands of troops lost, Russia has also suffered significant losses in equipment and supplies. These include:
* Over 10,000 tanks
* More than 20,800 armored fighting vehicles
* Over 36,900 vehicles and fuel tanks
* Around 23,000 artillery systems
* 1,276 multiple launch rocket systems
* 1,061 air defense systems
* 370 airplanes
* 331 helicopters
* 24,919 drones
* 28 ships and boats
* One submarine
**Missile Attack on Kyiv**
Just days after the report was released, Russia launched a missile attack against Kyiv, killing one person and injuring four others, including a child.
**Russia’s Plans for Europe**
An unclassified intelligence assessment from the Danish Defense Intelligence Service warns that Russia may launch a large-scale war on Europe within five years if it perceives NATO as militarily weakened or politically divided.
