**Russia’s Losses in Ukraine**
Since February 24, 2022, Russia has lost a lot of troops and equipment in Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russia has lost:
* 899,470 soldiers
* 1,400 soldiers just over the past day
These numbers are from a report by the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces on March 20.
**Equipment Lost**
In addition to the soldiers, Russia has also lost many pieces of equipment. This includes:
* 10,377 tanks
* 21,561 armored fighting vehicles
* 41,094 trucks and fuel tanks
* 24,747 artillery systems
* 1,322 multiple launch rocket systems
* 1,110 air defense systems
* 370 airplanes
* 331 helicopters
* 29,895 drones
* 28 ships and boats
* 1 submarine
