**Russia’s Losses in Ukraine**
Russia has lost a huge number of troops and equipment since its invasion of Ukraine started on February 24, 2022.
According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ report, Russia has lost 847,860 soldiers. This is a staggering number that includes 1,460 casualties over just one day. The losses are not limited to troops. Russia has also lost:
* 9,992 tanks
* 20,797 armored vehicles
* 36,529 other vehicles and fuel tanks
* 22,844 artillery systems
* 1,273 rocket launchers
* 1,056 air defense systems
* 370 planes
* 331 helicopters
* 24,486 drones
* 28 ships and boats
* One submarine
These numbers are based on the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ report. The true extent of Russia’s losses may be even higher.
