Serbia’s Debt Hits €38 Billion Mark

Serbia’s public debt has reached a record high of 38 billion Euro. This is according to the Finance Ministry, which released a statement about the country’s financial situation.

At the end of November, Serbia’s total debt was 38.39 billion Euro. This number represents around 46.8% of the country’s GDP. Just one month earlier, the public debt stood at 38.13 billion Euro, or 46.5% of the GDP.

Looking back to the end of last year, Serbia’s public debt was slightly lower, standing at 36.15 billion Euro, which is about 48% of the country’s GDP.
