**EU Offers Ukraine Alternative Minerals Deal**
The European Union has offered Ukraine its own deal on the country’s natural resources. This new proposal is described as “mutually beneficial” and a “win-win partnership.”
European Commissioner Stephane Sejourne made this offer during a visit to Ukraine, which marked the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion. He said that 21 out of 30 critical materials Europe needs can be provided by Ukraine in a mutually beneficial agreement.
**US-Ukraine Deal Still on Hold**
The US and Ukraine are still negotiating over a deal to entrench US interests in Ukraine’s reserves. The latest draft presented by the White House demands $500 billion of Ukraine’s natural resources, including critical minerals. However, President Volodymyr Zelensky has refused to sign this deal because it does not contain any security guarantees for Ukraine and because the sum demanded is too high.
**Russia’s Invasion Continues**
Russia continues to attack Ukrainian cities and villages with drones, missiles, glide bombs, and artillery. The Russian military recently suffered 1,300 casualties in just one day of fighting.
**UN Condemns Russia’s Actions**
The UN General Assembly has approved a resolution condemning Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This resolution was voted for by 93 countries, but opposed by the US, Israel, Hungary, Russia, and Belarus.
