EU Ambassador Meets with Families of Protest Detainees
The EU Ambassador is meeting with the family members of people arrested during ongoing protests in Georgia. The meetings are taking place on Rustaveli Avenue.
Before the meeting, a relative of one detainee spoke to journalists. He said that the families will discuss everything at the meeting. “We want to explain what’s happening,” he said. “Young people are being arrested for defending their future. They want to join Europe, but the government is stopping them.”
The family members plan to talk about the problems they’re facing and share all the details with the EU Ambassador.
