**Russia Under Attack: Dozens of Ukrainian Drones Strike Various Targets**

In a significant escalation of the conflict, Russia has reported an attack by dozens of Ukrainian drones on various targets across the country. The attacks were recorded in multiple regions, including Rostov, Kursk, Belgorod, Oryol, and Lipetsk.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 48 Ukrainian drones were allegedly intercepted or destroyed during the night of July 4. The drones targeted a range of facilities, including power substations, residential areas, and industrial plants. The head of the Rostov region reported that drones were neutralized in several districts, with a power outage occurring at a transformer substation in Shakhty.

**Critical Facilities Hit**

One of the targeted facilities appears to be the Azov Optical and Mechanical Plant, which produces critical components for the Russian army. This includes sights, rangefinders, thermal imagers, and fire control systems for tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, ships, and even aircraft. The facility is considered a crucial part of Russia’s military-industrial complex.

The head of Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, stated that the plant produces critical components for Russian armored vehicles. “It is here that the ‘eyes’ for Russian armored vehicles are assembled,” he wrote on Telegram.

**Recurring Attacks in Udmurt Republic**

This marks the third drone attack on the Udmurt Republic within a week. On July 1, Izhevsk came under drone fire, with Ukraine’s General Staff confirming precise strikes on Building No. 1 at Site No. 1 of the Kupol plant, which specializes in producing surface-to-air missile systems and other military equipment. Local authorities reported three people killed and 35 injured in the strike.

**Moscow Strike Confirmed**

Later today, Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed a strike in Moscow on the Research Institute of Applied Chemistry, which is responsible for producing thermobaric warheads for the Shahed kamikaze drones.

The escalation of drone attacks on critical facilities across Russia highlights the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia. As tensions continue to rise, it remains to be seen how these attacks will impact the situation on the ground.
