**Forced Evacuations in Donetsk Oblast**

The governor of Donetsk Oblast, Vadim Filashkin, has announced that authorities will begin evacuating families with children from over 20 settlements in the region. This is due to increased Russian shelling and the danger it poses to civilians.

Many people have already left the area, but around 307,000 civilians still remain in Ukrainian-controlled parts of Donetsk Oblast. The governor said that because of the growing threat to their lives, families with children will be forcibly evacuated from several settlements.

Over 100 children are affected by this evacuation order. In some areas, like Komar and Kryvorizhzhia, there are only a few dozen children left. The governor is urging parents to take responsibility for their children’s safety and to evacuate them as soon as possible.

Some of the settlements being evacuated are close to the city of Pokrovsk, which has been heavily attacked by Russian forces. The governor is worried that people will continue to die if they don’t leave the area.
