**Detained Leaders’ Supporters Rally Against Government**
In the aftermath of the detention of Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze, leaders of the “Lelo – Strong Georgia” party, supporters gathered outside their office to show solidarity. Dimitri Tskitishvili, a member of the “For Georgia” party, was among those who arrived to express support for the detained leaders.
**A Russian Model in Sight?**
Tskitishvili is adamant that the government’s actions are a clear attempt to establish a Russian-style regime in Georgia. He believes that as long as citizens can still protest and express dissent, the country cannot become a Russian satellite state.
“We have one main weapon: truth,” Tskitishvili said. “And this truth is on our side. Those in power no longer have the truth or strength to counter us.” He emphasized that behind each detained person stands a strong resolve among the people to resist what is happening in the country.
**Fear and Complexes**
Tskitishvili also noted that the government’s actions are driven by fear and complexes, rather than any genuine strength. “This regime struggles with its own fears and complexities,” he said. “They are trying to silence us, but we will continue to fight for our rights and freedoms.”
**The People United**
Tskitishvili’s words reflect the determination of many Georgians who refuse to back down in the face of government oppression. As he noted, as long as citizens can still talk to each other and express protest, the regime cannot be established.
“We must fight to the end,” Tskitishvili stated. “As long as we have the truth on our side, we will continue to resist this Russian model.”
