Everyone should know that anyone who breaks the law, betrays their homeland and their team, naturally, the law and the state will be the strictest towards them – we are not naming names, at least not yet, – said the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules, Davit Matikashvili, responding to the statement of one of the leaders of the National Movement, Sopo Japaridze, that “Kobakhidze and the Georgian Dream should expect many more surprises from their former teammates.”
According to him, “it is obvious that the individuals expelled from the Georgian Dream, in a certain way, tried to encourage and even finance radicalism in Georgia.”
According to Matikashvili, an adequate response will be given to those people who commit crimes and betray the homeland.
“Once again, what the Prime Minister said has been confirmed, that some former members expelled from the team are radicalizing in Georgia. I don’t know if Japaridze talked subconsciously about it or what, but he talked exactly about this. This is so disgusting, I don’t even want to talk about this topic, but everyone should know very well that whoever breaks the law, betrays their homeland, their team, and is also a perpetrator of a crime, naturally, the law and the state will be the strictest towards them.
You know very well that we are not talking about names, at least not yet. We are not talking about specific identified people, although the fact that the individuals involved in this matter tried to encourage and even finance radicalism in a certain way is obvious,” Matikashvili said.
