**Serbian Citizens Back Student Protests**

A new survey by the Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability (CRTA) shows that around 80% of Serbian citizens support most of the students’ demands. The protests have become a key driver of change in Serbia.

**Growing Support for Protests**

The student protests are not fading out, but gaining stronger support. According to CRTA, 64% of citizens back the protests. This is a significant increase from last month, especially among those who generally support the ruling parties.

**Hope and Optimism Prevail**

Citizens now feel hopeful and optimistic about the country’s future, thanks to the student protests. 46% think Serbia is heading in the right direction, compared to 38% who disagree. This optimism comes from the energy of the students’ protests, rather than trust in government policies or the economy.

**Trust in Students**

Nearly 60% of citizens trust the students. Many believe that only students and university representatives can assess whether their demands have been met. The majority of citizens do not believe media attempts to discredit the students.

**Corruption is the Main Issue**

The protests are seen as a consequence of government neglect and corruption, rather than an attempt at a “color revolution” or “Vojvodina separatism.” 72% of citizens agree that corruption is the biggest issue in Serbia.
