Not a single political prisoner will remain in illegal captivity for the term set by the so-called court today, – reads a statement issued by the Coalition for Change.
As noted in the statement, today the court sent patriots fighting for freedom to prison. Those who could not be broken.
“Today, the court of Ivanishvili’s Russian regime sent patriots fighting for freedom to prison. People who, despite great pressure and violence, could not be broken. Not a single political prisoner will remain in illegal captivity for the term set by the so-called court today.
It is precisely the unbreakable nature and dedication of prisoners of conscience that is an example of our struggle, because the path to victory lies precisely in not accepting the rules of the regime’s game and constant resistance. Fight until victory!” – reads the statement.
For information, the court found Zviad Tsetskhladze and 7 other individuals, who were arrested on charges of organizing and participating in group violence, not guilty of the charges, but changed the classification of their charges – and found them guilty of violence. By the decision of Judge Tamar Mchedlishvili, some of the defendants were sentenced to 2 years in prison, and others to 2 years and 6 months in prison.
