**US Military Aid Halted**
President Trump ordered an immediate stop to all US military aid to Ukraine on March 4. This affects over $1 billion in weapons and ammunition deliveries. The decision is part of a pressure campaign to make President Volodymyr Zelensky negotiate with Russia, according to Trump’s senior adviser Jason Miller.
**Pressure on Zelensky**
Miller said that leaders can use the “carrot” (positive reinforcement) or the “stick” (punishment) to get what they want. This comes after a heated meeting between Trump, Zelensky, and US Vice President JD Vance on February 28. The meeting ended without a planned mineral agreement being signed.
**US Support for Ukraine**
The US has given Ukraine over $119 billion since Russia’s full-scale invasion started, including:
