**Serbia to Get Third Metro Line**
A Chinese company, China Railways Design Corporation (CRDC), has been given the job of designing a third line for the Belgrade metro.
The CRDC signed a contract with the Belgrade Metro and Train company to start work on the project. This is not the first time the CRDC is involved in Serbia’s railway modernization. They led the reconstruction of the rail line to Hungary’s border, which was completed last year.
The CRDC also plays a key role in the overall upgrade of Serbian railways. In 2019, they formed an agreement with the Serbian government to reconstruct the Novi Sad-Kelebija rail line on the border with Hungary.
