**Bus Carrying Ukrainian Children Crashes in Hungary, 21 Injured**
A devastating accident occurred on July 6 when a bus carrying Ukrainian children lost control and overturned on a Hungarian highway. The incident left 21 people injured, with four of them in serious condition. According to reports from Ukraine’s embassy in Hungary, the bus was en route from Lviv to Ohrid in North Macedonia for a dance festival.
The accident happened at around 5 a.m. local time between the settlements of Kunszentmarton and Tiszafoldvar. Preliminary information suggests that the driver lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road into a ditch. The cause of the crash is still unknown, and further investigation is underway.
The bus was carrying 77 people, including two drivers, chaperones, and members of a children’s ensemble from Lviv. Among those injured are four teenagers (14 and 18 years old) and two adults (67 and 71 years old). Four more children suffered moderate injuries, while the remaining victims had minor injuries.
**No Fatalities, Rescue Efforts Underway**
Miraculously, no one was killed in the accident. Rescuers are working at the crash site alongside Ukrainian Ambassador Fegyir Sandor and consuls assisting Ukrainian citizens. The injured were transferred to hospitals in Szolnok, Kecskemetre, and Szentes.
The passengers who did not sustain injuries or suffered only minor ones have been provided with food and shelter at the Kunszentmarton Cultural Center. Those with moderate injuries will join them shortly.
