He mentioned upcoming bilateral agreements and stated that the government should audit all agreements with Ukraine’s military supporters and prepare a new level of defense assistance. Shmyhal, who served as prime minister for the longest period, will remain in the cabinet but as defense minister, replacing Rustem Umerov. Outgoing Strategic Industries Minister Herman Smetanin will become the head of Ukroboronprom, Ukraine’s largest state-owned defense manufacturer.
Other key appointments include Mykhailo Fedorov becoming the first deputy prime minister and Oleksii Sobolev leading the merged Economy, Ecology, and Agriculture ministries. Taras Kachka will replace Olha Stefanishyna as deputy prime minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
