**Public Transport Halted in Belgrade**
The Serbian Ministry of the Interior (MoI) ordered a complete suspension of public transport in Belgrade on Saturday morning. This was done allegedly for security reasons.
All vehicles of the public transportation company (GSP) were told to return to garages at 9:05 am. This included buses, trams, and trolleys that normally operate on designated routes.
As of 10:45 am, fewer than 100 GSP vehicles remained on the streets. These vehicles were gradually returning to garages as they completed their routes. Private transport operators had already stopped operating their buses due to concerns for vehicle safety.
The shutdown affected public transportation in Belgrade. However, large numbers of people are still arriving in the city by car.
