**Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra Goes on Strike**
A majority of employees at the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra have decided to go on strike. This decision was made in accordance with the Law on Strike and the Special Collective Agreement for cultural institutions.
The strike will start on March 3, 2025. The main reasons for the strike are two important demands: an urgent improvement in the employees’ financial situation and the immediate opening of a transparent competition for the position of director of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra.
All concerts of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra have been canceled until further notice. The strike will end when there is an agreement between the parties involved or when a majority of employees decide to stop the strike.
