**Noisy Night in Belgrade**
On Sunday evening, people in the Serbian capital of Belgrade made a lot of noise. They were responding to a call from protesting students who wanted others to join their “Noise Against Dictatorship” action.
**People Made Lots of Noise**
Supporters of the students blew whistles, played music, and banged on pots and pans. This noisy protest lasted about 20 minutes and took place all over Belgrade. People stood on their balconies, windows, and gathered in front of their buildings to make as much noise as possible.
**Protest Shouts**
Some people also shouted slogans like “Victory” and “Down With the Government”. This kind of noisy protest was a reminder of a time in 1996-97 when people took to the streets to protest against the government. They made noise on the streets and in front of state TV during the evening news.
