Meeting Between President and Opposition Leaders Focuses on Recent Events
A meeting took place between the fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, and representatives from opposition parties. The main topic discussed was President Zurabishvili’s visit to the Munich Conference.
According to Badri Japaridze, a leader of the Strong Georgia movement, President Zurabishvili explained the current situation in Georgia to those she met with at the conference. She highlighted the depth of the crisis and stated that new elections were necessary.
President Zurabishvili was also attacked at Tbilisi International Airport. Badri Japaridze spoke about this incident, saying that President Zurabishvili suffered physical harm and has injuries to her face.
