**Ukrainian Drones Attack Russian Oil Refinery**
Russian Governor Andrey Bocharov said that Ukrainian drones attacked an oil refinery in Volgograd Oblast on January 31. The attack targeted the Lukoil refinery, one of Russia’s largest oil producers.
The wreckage of a downed drone caused a small fire at the refinery, which was quickly put out. One employee was injured and taken to the hospital. Russian air defenses shot down 49 Ukrainian drones throughout the night, according to the Defense Ministry.
**Multiple Targets Hit**
Russian forces downed Ukrainian drones in several regions. The biggest number of drones – 25 – were shot down in Rostov Oblast. Other areas hit included Volgograd Oblast, where the oil refinery was targeted; Kursk Oblast; and Yaroslav Oblast.
Ukrainian drones have attacked the Lukoil refinery in Volgograd Oblast before. Attacks happened in February, July, and September last year.
**Other Areas Affected**
In Voronezh Oblast, one drone fell on a car passing on the highway. The driver was injured. A drone also caused minor damage to an industrial enterprise in Voronezh.
Drone debris broke electrical wires in Rostov Oblast, but no damage or casualties were reported in Yaroslav Oblast. Krasnodar Krai, Kursk, and Belgorod oblasts have not yet commented on the attack.
**No Comment from Ukraine**
The Ukrainian military has not commented on the strikes. The Kyiv Independent was unable to verify the claims.
