**Ukrainian Drones Hit Russian Oil Station**
On March 19, Ukrainian drones attacked the Kavkazskaya oil pumping station in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. According to reports, the attack damaged a pipeline and sparked a fire.
The regional authorities claimed that 30 on-duty personnel were evacuated from the site, and operations at the facility have been suspended. However, no casualties have been reported.
**Important Oil Transshipment Point Damaged**
The Kavkazskaya oil transshipment point is crucial for Russia’s energy exports. It connects a railroad oil terminal and another pumping station, making it part of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium system that pumps up to 6 million metric tons of oil annually.
**Repeated Drone Attacks on Russian Energy Infrastructure**
This attack comes as Ukraine has intensified its campaign against Russia’s energy and military infrastructure. Last month, Ukrainian drones struck a fuel and energy facility in Russia’s Astrakhan Oblast, causing a fire. In February, Ukraine launched a drone attack on the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station, also in Krasnodar Krai.
**Ukraine Targets Russian Energy Sector**
Ukraine has consistently targeted Russian refineries, oil depots, and defense industry sites to limit Russia’s ability to sustain its full-scale invasion. The recent attack on the Kavkazskaya oil station is another example of Ukraine’s efforts to disrupt Moscow’s war effort.
