On October 4, you will see who will be punished and how, no matter what tone “Georgian Dream” takes, said Ana Tsitlidze, a member of the United National Movement, to journalists, responding to a statement by Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.
According to her, the “hysteria” of “Georgian Dream” indicates that they are very afraid of the October 4 rally and very afraid of the angry citizens of Georgia.
“On October 4, you will see who will be punished and how, no matter what tone ‘Georgian Dream’ takes. This hysteria of ‘Georgian Dream’ shows that they are very afraid of the October 4 rally and very afraid of the angry citizens of Georgia. Therefore, we call on the citizens of Georgia: on October 4, we once again have every constitutional right to peacefully overthrow this Russian regime, which has gone beyond all constitutional limits, and we must prepare for this,” Tsitlidze said.
When asked by journalists how the overthrow could happen peacefully, Tsitlidze responded that it would be “exactly like the Rose Revolution.”
“Exactly as the Rose Revolution happened — peacefully, through the unity and action of the people. That is precisely what we mean and how we see it,” Ana Tsitlidze stated.
For reference, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said that the opposition’s promises regarding the “peaceful overthrow” of the government are aimed at encouraging their supporters.
“I’ll put it very simply: let them dare to act against the law — they will face the appropriate response and will be punished in the strictest way, of course, within the framework of the law,” Kaladze said.
