By October 4, 70% is already in place, considering what is happening within “Georgian Dream,” — this was stated by Ana Tsitlidze, one of the leaders of the United National Movement, on the “Resume” show on Palitra News.
According to Ana Tsitlidze, “Georgian Dream” is in for many surprises, including possibly from their former teammates.
“I respect everyone involved in this process. For 13 years, my comrades and I have been fighting. We must understand one thing: this country has not a single day to lose. The opportunity on October 4, of which 70% is already in place, considering what is happening in ‘Georgian Dream’… I expect that ‘Georgian Dream’ will face many surprises, including possibly from their former teammates. Gharibashvili and Liluashvili would be foolish to just bow to Kobakhidze, stay silent, and say nothing,” Ana Tsitlidze said.
Regarding the arrest of one person in connection with large-scale illegal income legalization, Ana Tsitlidze stated that “the figures released are just a drop in the ocean compared to what is really happening in this country.”
“For 13 years, rampant corruption existed in this country, and the opposition constantly spoke about it. Especially the United National Movement, we continuously highlighted corrupt schemes within the government, how even low-level officials, including heads of municipal departments, were stealing. Georgia is essentially a black hole for money laundering. When we spoke about this, ‘Georgian Dream’s’ response was always propaganda and aggression, accusing the opposition of lying. Now the government has effectively admitted it and told us that rampant corruption existed in Georgia. How do you imagine such huge sums being laundered with only one person involved? Where was customs, where was the State Security Service, where was the Prime Minister, where was the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where was the National Bank? This directly affected the lari,” Ana Tsitlidze said.
