This tragic incident is just one part of a wider wave of Russian drone attacks across Odessa. Multiple explosions and fires broke out in residential areas, causing damage to civilian infrastructure and vehicles. As the National Police of Ukraine reported, nine people were injured, including two children, and two people lost their lives as a result of the shelling.
**Humanitarian Crisis Unfolds**
The attack has left many residents without homes, with an “Unbreakable Point” set up on-site to provide support and aid. Psychologists are also on hand to assist those affected by the trauma of the event. The State Emergency Service employees were able to quickly extinguish the fires that broke out as a result of the strikes.
This latest attack is a grim reminder of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, where civilian infrastructure and lives are being targeted by Russian forces.
