**Russia’s Devastating Attack on Kyiv Region Leaves Many Injured and Homeless**
In a tragic and devastating turn of events, the Kyiv region in Ukraine has once again been targeted by Russian forces. The attack, which took place overnight on June 23, has left at least one person dead, eight injured, and dozens of buildings damaged. Among those affected were patients from a destroyed hospital, including a young child.
The city of Bila Tserkva was particularly hard hit, with over 40 objects damaged or destroyed, including residential buildings, medical facilities, and educational institutions. The attack also targeted the Buchanan, Boryspil, and Vyshgorod districts, where dozens of private homes and cars were damaged.
**Human Cost of the Attack**
One person, a woman born in 1957, tragically lost her life as a result of injuries sustained during the shelling. Our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time. Eight others were injured, including two rescuers from the State Emergency Service who were hurt while trying to extinguish fires caused by repeated shelling.
Two women, born in 1981 and 1958, were rescued from the rubble of a private house, but they refused hospitalization due to their injuries. A 78-year-old woman from the Buchanan district was taken to the hospital with an acute stress reaction.
**Destruction and Evacuations**
The greatest destruction was recorded in the Bila Tserkva district, where more than 40 objects were damaged or destroyed. Patients at the damaged hospital, including a young child, have been evacuated to a safe medical facility for treatment. Commissions are working on site to assess the full extent of the damage and provide support to those affected.
**Response and Support**
International partners and local authorities have been involved in efforts to quickly replace windows and repair damaged housing. The situation is being closely monitored by officials, with assistance and resources being mobilized to help those in need.
