**Students Protest by Walking to Nis**

A group of students from different parts of Serbia walked and cycled to the city of Nis. They were on their way to a big rally planned for March 1.

**Confrontation with Bus Carrying Party Supporters**

On Friday, the students met buses carrying supporters of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) headed to a rally in Zajecar. The buses turned around and went back after seeing the students.

The students were chanting slogans like “Your hands are bloody” and “Why are you running away.” They also said that the party supporters didn’t want to greet them.

**Police Escort**

The student procession has a police escort with it. The students are protesting against the government and its policies.

**Long Protest Ahead**

The students will attend a 18-hour protest rally in Nis starting from March 1 at 9 am. It will last until March 2 at 3 am. This is similar to protests held recently in Kragujeac and Novi Sad.
