**Russian Missile Hits Residential Building in Poltava, Ukraine**
A Russian missile struck a residential building in the city of Poltava on February 1. The attack killed at least three people and injured 10 others, including a child.
The Ukrainian State Emergency Service reported that the attack destroyed all five floors of one section of the building, caused a fire, and damaged neighboring buildings. Twenty-one people were rescued from the building.
**Multiple Attacks Across Ukraine**
Russia launched attacks on several regions overnight, hitting residential buildings in Odesa, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia. The Presidential Office head, Andriy Yermak, said that these attacks are typical of the Russian army’s tactics.
“This is the true face of Russia,” he wrote on Telegram. “Murderers who have absolutely no respect for any leader in the world or any other nation.”
**Poltava Regularly Targeted**
The city of Poltava and its surrounding region have been regular targets of Russian drone and missile attacks. In September, a large attack killed at least 51 people and injured over 270 at the Poltava Military Institute of Communications.
A search and rescue operation is ongoing at the site of the latest attack in Poltava.
