**Crime Rate Decreases in First Six Months of 2025**

According to the latest statistics released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the crime rate in the country has decreased by 795 cases (-2.96%) compared to the same period last year. This is a positive trend that indicates a safer environment for citizens.

One of the significant areas where the crime rate has dropped is in drug-related crimes. The number of such cases identified by law enforcement has increased by 29% compared to the first six months of 2024. As a result, more individuals have been held accountable for their involvement in illegal activities related to narcotic substances.

**Crime Detection Rate Reaches New High**

Another encouraging trend is the increase in the crime detection rate, which has reached 66.16%. This means that law enforcement agencies are doing a better job of identifying and solving crimes. The Ministry’s efforts to combat drug trafficking and other illicit activities have been particularly effective, leading to a significant rise in the number of individuals held accountable for their actions.

**Decrease in Crimes Against Property**

The statistics also show a decrease in crimes against property, including cases of burglary, robbery, fraud, extortion, and misappropriation/embezzlement. There has also been a reduction in sexual crimes, trafficking, child trafficking, cybercrimes (-80 cases), and administrative crimes (-46 cases). This is a welcome development that indicates a safer environment for citizens.

**Increase in Traffic-Related Crimes**

However, there are some areas where the crime rate has increased. Intentional serious bodily harm and transport-related crimes have seen an increase of 175 cases involving violations of traffic safety and vehicle operation regulations. Despite this, the crime detection rate has also increased, indicating that law enforcement agencies are doing a good job of identifying and solving these types of crimes.

**Ministry’s Commitment to Safety**

The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues its efforts to ensure a maximally safe environment in the country. The statement from the Ministry emphasizes the importance of an uncompromising fight against crime in a 24/7 regime.
