Ani Dalakishvili, head of the Emergency Department at Ingorokva Clinic, stated that the health condition of a law enforcement officer injured during the disturbances near the Presidential Palace on Atoneli Street is satisfactory.
As she told journalists, the police officer has a traumatic brain injury.
“This morning, the patient’s condition is satisfactory. The patient is responsive and adequate. Yesterday, a CT scan was performed, which revealed a traumatic brain injury, specifically a hematoma, and a linear and fragmented fracture of the right temporal bone. A follow-up CT scan was conducted this morning, showing positive progress. Therefore, the patient does not require surgical intervention, treatment continues, and they are under the supervision of neurosurgeons. Transfer to a ward is planned for tomorrow. In total, we had five injured individuals from the rally in the clinic. Three were discharged for outpatient monitoring. One other patient continues treatment with us for a mild concussion,” Ani Dalakishvili stated.
According to the Ministry of Health, as a result of the events in Tbilisi on October 4, emergency medical teams transferred six rally participants and 21 law enforcement officers to medical facilities.
They also reported that up to 30 individuals received medical assistance at the scene.
