**Chief Auditor Tsotne Kavlashvili Leaves Office, Poised to Join Finance Ministry**
Tsotne Kavlashvili, Georgia’s Chief Auditor, has resigned from his position and is expected to take on a new role as Deputy Finance Minister under the ruling Georgian Dream government. This move comes amidst ongoing changes within the government.
According to sources, Kavlashvili submitted his resignation request to Shalva Papuashvili, the Speaker of the Parliament for GD. The reasons behind his early departure are not yet known.
**A New Role Awaits**
As Chief Auditor, Kavlashvili was appointed by Parliament in September 2022 for a five-year term. His new role as Deputy Finance Minister will see him take on additional responsibilities within the government. This change comes at a time when there is significant movement within the Georgian Dream administration.
**A Look Back**
Kavlashvili has extensive experience in the field of finance, serving as Deputy Finance Minister from 2015 to 2022 and holding various positions within the Finance Ministry since 2006. He holds a master’s degree in economics and business from Tbilisi State University.
