**Russian Attacks on Ukraine Leave 5 Dead, Many Injured**
Yesterday was a deadly day for the people of Ukraine. Russian attacks on two regions left five people dead and many more injured. The attacks occurred in the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia and the northeast region of Sumy.
In Zaporizhzhia, three women lost their lives in a series of Russian shelling incidents that targeted the village of Ternuvate. A shop and several homes were badly damaged, and nine people were injured in total. A private home was even destroyed. The attacks also killed a man who died from a Russian strike by a guided aerial bomb.
**Children Among Those Injured**
In the Sumy region, two children were among those injured in a Russian drone attack. A 7-year-old boy is one of the victims, according to Oleh Sinehubov, the governor of the region. Several buildings throughout the regions were damaged, and at least six people were injured.
**Peace Talks on the Horizon**
Despite these tragic events, both Russia and Ukraine are set to meet for a round of peace talks. These talks aim to find a way to end the war that Russia launched with a full-scale invasion on its smaller neighbor more than three years ago. It’s unclear whether these talks will be successful, but they come at a crucial time.
