The situation in Ukraine continues to be dire, with Russian attacks resulting in the deaths of seven people and injuring 39 others over the past day. Regional authorities reported these devastating numbers on May 30.
**Ukrainian Air Force Repels Drone Attack**
In a separate incident, Ukrainian forces successfully downed 26 out of the 90 drones launched by Russia overnight, including Shahed-type attack drones. The Air Force reported that electronic warfare or decoy drones caused no damage, as they disappeared from radars before reaching their targets.
**Regional Breakdown of Attacks**
Governor Oleh Syniehubov in Kharkiv Oblast confirmed a Russian drone attack on the city, which injured two women and an 84-year-old woman. The attack also damaged 39 trolleybuses. Additionally, nine people, including two children, were injured in a separate attack on the village of Vasyliv Khutir.
In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Governor Ivan Fedorov reported that Russian attacks near Polohy and Vasylivka resulted in the deaths of two people and injuries to five others. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Governor Serhii Lysak said a man and woman were injured in the Nikopol district.
**Other Regions Affected**
In Donetsk Oblast, one person was killed, and ten others suffered injuries over the past day, according to Governor Vadym Filashkin. In Kherson Oblast, Russian forces targeted 35 settlements, including the regional center of Kherson. Four people were killed, and 11 others injured, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin reported.
