**Russia Continues to Launch Aerial Attacks on Ukraine**
Last night, May 24-25, Russia launched a series of attacks on Ukrainian cities, causing explosions in multiple regions. This comes just one day after one of the heaviest Russian assaults on Kyiv since the start of the war.
According to reports from news outlet Suspilne, explosions were reported overnight in several cities, including Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Sumy, and Konotop. The Ukrainian Air Force had warned residents earlier in the evening that Russia was launching waves of drones towards multiple regions, as well as issuing a ballistic missile warning shortly before midnight.
**Residents Advised to Take Shelter**
Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, issued an urgent warning to residents to take shelter. “The night will not be easy,” he said. “There is a threat of the enemy using a large number of drones and missiles from strategic aircraft.” Meanwhile, air defenses were actively repelling drones over Kyiv.
This attack marks the second night in a row that Russia has targeted residential areas in Ukrainian cities with increasingly deadly aerial assaults. The previous night’s attack on Kyiv left at least 15 people injured and caused damage to residential buildings.
**International Calls for Ceasefire Ignored**
Russia’s continued targeting of civilian areas has sparked international outrage, but the Kremlin remains dismissive of calls for a ceasefire. This ongoing violence highlights the urgent need for an end to hostilities in Ukraine.
