**Russia’s Brutal Assault on Ukraine Leaves Dozens Dead and Injured**
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have unleashed a devastating wave of attacks against Ukraine, resulting in the deaths of at least 13 civilians and injuring many more. The brutal assault has left a trail of destruction and chaos across several regions, with air defenses struggling to keep up with the sheer number of missiles and drones launched by Russian forces.
**Kyiv Under Attack**
In the capital city of Kyiv, residents were subjected to a barrage of ballistic missiles and drones, with Ukrainian air defenses successfully shooting down six Iskander-M or KN-23 missiles. However, not everyone was so lucky. At least 15 people required medical attention in Kyiv, including those who suffered shock but no physical injuries. The regional military administration reported three separate incidents of civilians being injured in the Brovary and Boryspil districts.
**Regional Toll**
The human cost of Russia’s aggression is evident across several regions. In Donetsk Oblast, four people were killed and eight injured in Russian attacks over the past day. Kostiantynivka was particularly affected, with two people killed and four injured. Meanwhile, in Kharkiv Oblast, four civilians were killed and seven injured as Russian forces attacked six towns and villages.
**Other Regions Affected**
Russian attacks have also had a significant impact on other regions. In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, two civilians were injured during drone and artillery attacks, while in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, two people were injured during an attack on the Polohy district. The situation is equally dire in Kherson Oblast, where Russian attacks killed two people and injured 13.
**Ports Targeted**
In Odesa, a ballistic missile attack killed one person on the spot and injured eight. Tragically, two of those injured later died in the hospital. The attack has raised concerns about the vulnerability of Ukraine’s ports to Russian aggression.
